... opened in 1990 in Guyancourt, a commune in the "new town" (Wikipedia's inverted commas) of Saint–Quentin–en–Yvelines – about 21 kilometres (13 miles) from the centre of Paris. As well as the main championship course, known as the Albatros (Albatross), there is another 18–hole course called the Aigle (Eagle), and a nine–hole course known as the Oiselet (Birdie).
