Marco Simone Golf and Country Club

... is in Guidonia Montecelio (commonly known as Guidonia), which is a suburb of Rome. The club is named after a castle that dates from ancient Roman times, the present edifice having been built around AD 1000.

A footballer named Marco Simone, born in 1969, played for AC Milan, Paris Saint–Germain and Monaco, and gained four international caps between 1992 and 1996. He does not appear to have any connection with either the golf club or the castle.
